Twelve years ago, our founder, Emma Richardson, was working at a conventional grooming chain. She witnessed daily how rushed appointments caused unnecessary stress for animals.
One afternoon, a particularly anxious spaniel bit a groomer after being held down for a nail trim. Emma realised the problem wasn't the dog—it was the system. That evening, she sketched out a different model.
Within six months, Zesty Scrub opened with a single room and a commitment: every pet would be treated as an individual, never a number.
